Favorite Bible character…I guess my favorite Bible character would be the Apostle Paul. He’s just so cool. I look forward to attending his Pauline Theology class in heaven!

I was born…in Battle Creek, MI where every morning I could smell Kellogg’s Corn Flakes being made at the huge Kellogg’s factory in my hometown.

Life verse…I don’t really have a life verse, but I do have a life passage! It’s John 6:60-68. It’s the time when many of those following Jesus turned back and stopped following him because they were offended by what he was saying. Jesus then turned to the Twelve and asked, “You do not want to leave too, do you?” And Peter piped up, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” I love that response. It resonates with me because following Jesus isn’t always pretty, but only Jesus holds the words of eternal life. He is “the Holy One of God”.

I have travelled to…Naples, Italy!

My significant others are…my wife, Amy, and my two sons, Sam and Joe. I am a very rich man! We have a lot of fun together.

Biggest pet peeve…TV commercials!

What’s on my bookshelf…I love reading history, especially about World War II. I also enjoy Theology—of course.

Trademark cliché or saying…“I don’t remember.” No really, that’s my trademark saying!

My ideal vacation would be…attending a cooking school in France or Italy where the class would take field trips into the local farmer’s markets and taste the local cuisine.

I am happiest when…I take a nap.

If I could be a cartoon character, I would be…probably Charlie Brown because I tend to worry a lot.

My favorite pastime…I really enjoy cooking and especially like to BBQ. It’s not about the sauce, it’s about cooking it low and slow!

Likes…music, reading, taking hikes and learning.
