Favorite Bible character…James. I’ve always been fascinated by this man—what must it have been like to be Jesus’ younger brother? Even though there is little focus on him in scripture, he is always in the wings: as an unbelieving brother, as one whom Christ visited personally after His resurrection, as a leader in the Jerusalem church, as author of a New Testament book, and according to historians, as a martyr for the faith.
I was born…in Washington, Pennsylvania to Bill and Jacky Templeton.
Life verse…“Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.” 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

What’s on my bookshelf…a lot of C.S. Lewis and a fair bit of G.K. Chesterton (didn’t any of these English guys like their first name?), some Timothy Keller and, for light reading, a few financial planning books.

Trademark cliché or saying…“It will only take 10 minutes” in reference to little jobs like cleaning the basement or painting a room.
