Awana Mission Project

Fall 2017

Our Fall 2017 Awana Mission Project will benefit Mosaic Christian Community Development Association.

Mosaic is a group of people who love Jesus. They live all over Berrien County, worship in different churches, and come from all kinds of backgrounds and different families, but they have some goals in common. They work together to help other people to:

  • know Jesus by experiencing His love from the Mosaic team.
  • be prepared for opportunities to advance in education, life, and work.

Mosaic does this by providing jobs that include on-the- job-training and mentoring. The following businesses were created to provide opportunities to hire people, give them on-the-job-training and mentoring, and to provide financial support for the Mosaic projects:

  • Mosaic Resale Shop—used clothing, furniture, books, etc.
  • Mosaic Café—a place to buy sandwiches, goodies, and coffees
  • Harbor Shine Lawn Care—year round lawn care including mowing, shoveling, and raking
  • Harbor Market—an outdoor farmer’s and crafter’s market in the Mosaic parking lot in summer

Nearing Christmas time, Mosaic offers a special opportunity for struggling families to purchase gifts for their kids. Our loose change offerings this fall will
be used to purchase gift cards or toys for this program.

Please encourage your Awana Sparks and T&T Clubbers to bring any loose change on our Loose Change Missions Nights. Kids - ask if you can do a few
extra chores like raking leaves or vacuuming the car to help earn money to support Mosaic. For each $10 we collect, we will add a branch to our “Christmas
tree” to symbolize one gift. How big can our tree grow if we work together?
